Director's Message
Dear Aspirants,
Congratulations on your decision to pursue a career in the civil service. Civil service has long been a vision of many people because of its magnificent traditions, the most important of which is the ‘honour.’ The Indian civil service has long been regarded as the steel frame of Indian democracy, commanding respect from all corners of the world.
However, the Indian bureaucracy has gotten increasingly inflexible over time and is no longer relevant in meeting the country’s developmental needs. As a result, the most significant impediment is the tendency to centralise more power among themselves while reducing citizens’ freedom.
The people who are needed now are not those who are opportunistic, but those who are willing to give up power in order to achieve the bigger goal of democracy, which is political, economic, and social justice.
This necessitates qualities such as intellectual and moral purity, judgmental balance, critical assimilation powers, clear and logical explanation, diversity and depth of interest, social cohesiveness and leadership ability, mental awareness, and social features. These values cannot be instilled quickly and require ongoing instruction. Our staff has worked hard to guarantee that each individual gains all of the necessary academic and moral skills to be an effective administrator.
I am delighted to welcome you to the Pragnya IAS academy, where your dedication and commitment will be matched by our decades of wisdom and experience.
