Explanation

This is a hereditary blood disease that primarily affects individuals of African, Arabian, and Indian descent. Hemoglobin, the molecule in red blood cells that carries oxygen to all of the body's cells, is impacted by this group of illnesses.
The liver, kidney, lungs, heart, and spleen can all sustain damage over time in individuals with sickle cell disorders. Complications arising from the disorder may also lead to death.

Explanation

It will be implemented in all States and Union Territories over a five-year period, from FY 2020–21 to FY 2024–25.
