It is a regular, guaranteed cash transfer program provided by the government to all citizens, regardless of their financial situation or income. UBI will be implemented for everyone as a safety net, regardless of age or income level.
According to the Economic Survey (2016–17), the UBI consists of three parts:
Universality: All citizens will be covered by UBI
Unconditionality: The UBI does not use any standards to choose its recipients. Agency: Giving recipients financial support in a way that respects their decisions rather than forces them to accept them.
